The holidays can be busy and stressful, but there are a few things that even Nat King Cole would agree will “make the season bright”.

Shoes. You are running around from work, to the stores, to holiday parties, and to visit Santa so comfy shoes are a must.  I am not a fashionista by any means, but I am obsessed with my new shoes from PAYLESS. They are comfortable, cute for holiday parties and were reasonably priced because I found them at PAYLESS!

IMG_1965[1]Stain Remover. I grabbed these Shout wipes at the checkout counter and tossed a few into my purse.  Sure enough, I was on my way to a birthday party a few weeks ago and spilled coffee on my white sweater.  Once we arrived at the party, the stain was gone and you could not tell I spilled anything.   These are a lifesaver, pick them up and your hectic holiday season will be much easier.

Toys and Snacks. Keep a simple toy in your purse so you do not have to lug that diaper bag in and out of the car.  I carry this Zoe finger puppet in my purse all of the time and it has been a lifesaver for the times “I just need to run to the store”.   It also helps to keep a small stash of crackers in your purse.  I say they are for the baby, but we all know snacking keeps my stress level down during the holidays. (Yes, this will lead to a dieting blog post in January.) hahaa

Cookie Cutters. I have been looking for fun cookie cutters and am so excited to have found this cutter wheel.  The cutter is perfect for my little elf to use and the cookies are just her size.  The NorthPole cutter can be found at Hallmark or Walmart.

Gift Giving.  ‘Tis the season to give gifts, and why not package your gifts in a Mary & Martha loaf pan.  Mary & Martha reminds us, “Peace on Earth and goodwill to all.”  These are perfect for wrapping up cakes, cookies, and candies.   Check out Mary and Martha to order yours: mymaryandmartha.com/lsteele

Cooking.   My cooking secret is that I rarely make anything from scratch.  I make prepackaged food and call it my own once I doctor it up with seasonings.  Companies like Tastefully Simple have a variety of seasonings and delicious baked goods that only require a couple of ingredients.  Check them out and you wont be stressed when you are asked to bring a side dish to the party.  https://www.tastefullysimple.com/consultant/find-a-consultant
